Sensors and Measurement Systems 2024
Sensors and Measurement Systems 2024
Editor(s): Andreas Schütze (Saarland University, Germany) and Rainer Tutsch (Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany)

This special issue will collect papers based on presentations given at the 22nd GMA/ITG Sensoren und Messsysteme (Sensors and Measurement Systems, https://www.sensoren2024.de/) conference in 2024, which has become the most important German language scientific event in the field of sensor technology and measurement science since its launch in 1982.

As outlined in the conference announcement, The conference in 2024 will focus on novel and innovative sensor concepts, sensors and sensor systems for industrial use. The latter in particular have received special attention in recent years, e.g. imaging sensors, networked sensors, cognitive sensors, metrological AI applications, spectroscopic and energy-autonomous sensors. Other fields of application will also be addressed, e.g. medicine, environmental monitoring and biotechnology. The conference will also report on new developments in the field of measurement systems, their analysis, description and networking as well as system-related (multi-)sensor technology, so that a comprehensive insight into the current development of the field will be presented..

Authors of accepted presentations at the 22nd GMA/ITG Sensoren und Messsysteme conference are encouraged to submit their full papers for review and possible publication in the Journal of Sensors and Sensor Systems (JSSS), the journal of the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement.

Review process: all papers of this special issue underwent the regular peer-review process of Journal of Sensors and Sensor Systems handled by members of the editorial board as well as guest editors designated by the JSSS chief editor.
